A Blank Canvas

A skateboard deck doesn't need to tell you who you are.

It doesn't need a giant logo, a famous name, or a graphic designed to sell you an identity. Sometimes, the best skateboard is simply a quality piece of wood waiting for you to make it your own.

That's why we sell blank decks.

Our blank decks are built to be ridden. They come either steep or mellow concave, a solid feel, and the quality we expect from something that's going to spend its life being pushed, thrown, scraped, and eventually covered in stories. But we also see them as something more than a skateboard. We see them as a canvas.

Paint it. Draw on it. Etch it. Cover it with stickers. Give it to an artist. Leave it alone and let the streets do the work. However you choose to make your mark, the deck becomes yours.

There is also a reason we chose to keep the graphic off the bottom.

Skateboarding has become a massive industry, and somewhere along the way, the price of participating started carrying more and more weight. We don't believe every skateboarder needs to spend extra money simply to have someone else's name printed on the bottom of their board. We'd rather put that money back where it belongs, with the person actually riding it.

That doesn't mean we don't appreciate the companies, artists, shops, and people who have built skateboarding into what it is. We do. Trace exists because of that culture. But we also believe there is room to question how things are done and find ways to make skateboarding more accessible without sacrificing quality.

A blank deck gives you that opportunity.

Instead of buying a finished identity, you get the foundation to create your own. And maybe that's one of the things we love most about skateboarding. You don't need permission to make something yours. You just need a board, a place to ride, and the freedom to figure out the rest.

The deck is only the beginning.

Ride it. Create on it. Leave your trace.
